In this class, families will learn:

  • Best goat breeds for milk, meat, fiber, or companionship

  • Housing needs, fencing solutions, and daily care routines

  • How to feed goats well (and what not to feed)

  • Common health issues and simple prevention

  • Milking basics: hygiene, equipment, storage, safety

  • How goats fit into a small homestead system (milk, meat, manure, weed control)

Hands-On Project (example):

  • Guided practice milking a goat

  • Goat grooming and hoof-care practice

  • Mixing a fresh batch of goat minerals or learning how to check body condition

  • Possibly butchering a goat (for those interested)
