Hi, I’m Felicia.
After more than 20 years of homeschooling eight children, I realized that some of our most meaningful learning happened when we stopped trying to make life fit inside a school schedule.
Over the years I discovered something important:
The most powerful education often happens in everyday life.
We learned through animals, gardens, kitchens, building projects, work, mistakes, responsibilities, and the ordinary rhythms of family life.
I started Waymakers because I want to help other families discover those opportunities too.
What is the Waymakers Community?
Waymakers Community exists to help families experience education beyond the traditional classroom.
Through hands-on experiences, homeschool resources, farm learning, practical skills, and community events, we help children learn by doing—and help parents see the educational opportunities already woven into everyday life.
