Description
Get ready for a fun and interactive morning learning all about goats! During Goat Day, students will meet our friendly herd of dairy goats and discover what makes these animals such an important part of homestead life. Children will learn about goat breeds, behavior, and temperament, as well as how we keep our goats healthy through proper diet, grooming, and hoof care.
Students will observe and participate in hands-on tasks such as brushing, feeding, milking, and simple handling techniques. We’ll talk about how to read goat body language, what to look for in a healthy goat, and how farmers care for newborn kids.
After goat time, students will enjoy visiting the rest of the animals around the farm, making this day a rich blend of education, confidence-building, and unforgettable farm experiences.
There will be two groups going on simultaneously. One group will serve 4-7 year olds and the other group will serve 8-12 year olds. Once you are registered you will receive a welcome email. Please reply to that email with the ages of your children so that we can place them in the right group.
We meet from 9-11am in Anthony, NM. Address sent out after purchase. Closed toed shoes are required.
