Description
Garden Day invites children to step into the magical world of growing food! Students will experience hands-on garden tasks such as planting, watering, harvesting (season permitting), exploring soil, and identifying herbs and vegetables.
We’ll talk about what plants need to grow, how to care for a garden through the seasons, and how farms use compost and mulch. Children will learn to identify common garden tools, safely use kid-friendly equipment, and understand the difference between fruit, vegetable, and herb plants.
Along the way, students may taste fresh produce, smell aromatic herbs, and learn how insects—both helpful and harmful—play a role in the garden ecosystem. After garden time, we’ll finish with a visit to the farm animals, creating a rich and memorable farm-day experience.
We meet from 9-11am in Anthony, NM. Address sent out after purchase. 11-12 is time for the kids to meet all the farm animals. Closed toed shoes are required.
