Description
Hands-On Learning • Real Homestead Skills • Leadership in Action
The Waymakers Community, LLC Teen Internship Program is designed for motivated teens who are eager to gain real-world experience in homesteading, animal care, leadership, and community service. This program offers meaningful, hands-on training while allowing teens to contribute to our farm and support our growing educational programs.
Interns will become an important part of the daily rhythm of the homestead and will play a key role in helping teach and assist during our farm workshops and events. A Thursday, Friday or Saturday Intern Day will provide your teen with an opportunity to work the farm, prep for workshops, lead, and take on a project of choice. This allows them to dig in to what they are interested in the most.
Thursday Teens – We don’t offer any programs on Thursday, so it is a prep day and will be full of farm projects and material prep for classes. The student will have more time to work on a project of choice on a Thursday.
Friday Teens – The teens on Fridays will assist with the elementary kids on 1st & 3rd Fridays and work on their project of choice on alternating Fridays.
Saturday Teens – Saturday teens will help with family workshops the 2nd & 4th Saturdays while getting to work on their project of choice on alternating Saturdays.
