Description
We like to keep our chickens happy! They are fed organic feed and kitchen scraps. Every 3 days they get fermented grains which gives our eggs an orange yolk, packed full of nutrition. Every evening they scratch around the yard, doing what chickens do best.
The ladies where aprons and we have a few roosters that rule the roost. We have varying breeds, giving us varying colors of eggs.
We don’t wash our eggs until ready to use, this keeps the protective layer (or bloom) on the eggs. They can sit at room temperature until you are ready to use. Sometimes in this high heat, the yolks can be weak and runny. So if you prefer, there is nothing wrong with putting them in the fridge.
