1. Pantry & Kitchen Skills: Building a Self-Sufficient Kitchen – February 7
Learn the foundational skills every homestead kitchen needs to operate smoothly and sustainably. In this class, families will explore pantry systems, basic food preservation, meal planning for the homestead lifestyle, and hands-on skills like simple canning or pantry staples prep. Youâll leave with a clear understanding of what to store, how to organize it, and how to build a functional kitchen that supports your goals. Includes your Pantry Master Binder pages.
2. Goats: Care, Milk, & Homestead Integration – February 28
If goats are part of your homesteading dream (or already part of your reality!), this class will give you the confidence to care for them well. Families will learn goat breeds, housing, feeding, health basics, and milk handling. Then youâll jump into hands-on milking practice, goat-care routines, and hoof-trim demos. Our large breed dairy goats serve a dual purpose, meat and milk. We can also cover butchering and using a goat. Youâll end the day with goat care checklists and routines added to your Master Binder.
3. Gardening Foundations: Soil, Seeds, & Seasonal Planning – March 28
Whether youâre dreaming of raised beds or a full garden, this class gives you a strong foundation. Families will learn easy garden planning, seasonal crop rotation, compost integration, and seed saving and starting. Hands-on activities may include spring garden planning, planting, and preparing a new bed. Take home your garden planning templates, bed maps, and seasonal planting charts in your Master Binder.
4. Rabbits: Simple, Sustainable Small Livestock – April 25
Rabbits are quiet, efficient, and incredibly useful for both backyard and small-homestead settings. In this class, your family will learn basic care, housing setups, breeding cycles, health needs, and how to build or maintain a rabbit system. A hands-on project will let families practice real husbandry skills, and binder pages include rabbit record sheets, cage-cleaning routines, and starter supply lists.
5. Chickens: Handling, Housing, & Daily Care – May 30
Backyard chickens are often the first step into homesteadingâthis class shows your family exactly how to start. Learn breeds, coop and run requirements, feed options, predator protection, egg care, and gentle chicken handling. Together youâll participate in a hands-on chicken session so even your beginners feel confident. Master Binder pages include starter flock plans, coop checklists, and feeding guides.
