Description
Rabbit Day gives students an up-close look at both fancy and meat rabbit breeds, including our lionheads and New Zealand/California rabbits. We begin by learning the parts of a rabbit, what makes each breed unique, and the many ways rabbits are used on homesteads.
Students will explore proper rabbit care, including diet, grooming needs, handling, habitat, enrichment, and how to perform simple health checks. We’ll talk about safe ways to pick up and hold a rabbit, how to recognize stress signals, and what rabbits need to stay healthy and happy.
Students will complete a rabbit-themed craft before wrapping up the morning with time to visit the rest of the farm animals. This class is perfect for young animal lovers eager to learn gentle care and responsibility.
Closed toed shoes are required.
